I am so excited to introduce you to the DeWitt family! This particular session is very close to my hear because this is my best friend Nicki and her gorgeous family.
I have known Nicki since 6th grade. Our teachers planned their seating arrangement alphabetically and our last names (at the time) were “H” and “I” so we sat next to each other in almost every class. We clicked instantly.
In high school her family moved away to another part of town, but that never broke our close relationship. In fact, if she hadn't moved away and met (and dated for a short time) my husband Eric, I would not be married today!
Here we are 16 years later and I get the privilege to photograph her, her husband Justin, and her FOUR kids JJ, Jerzi, Jada and Jorja!
I’ve been getting darn lucky with these amazing fall days. We headed out into the deep beautiful pines of the Scuppernong trails located in the Kettle Moraine Southern Unit and had some fun! We played games like Peek-A-Boo, and then we pretended we were super heroes flying through the air.
They aren’t scared to admit that things get a little crazy sometimes, so we tried some shots that best exemplified that. Boy oh boy they turned out adorable. Sometimes things can get a little overwhelming with four little tots but that doesn't break their love for one another.
During our time together I was dying to try to get a shot of Jorja, who just turned one, to stand up all by herself. We tried but after a few failed attempts we just decided to let her do her own thing. I am so glad we did because not more than 3 minutes later, she stood up all by herself while shouting “YEAH!” over and over! All of us were cheering her on and she looked so victorious. What a sweet moment to capture.
Look at these kiddos. So. Darn. Cute.
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family in my life, let alone such a great friend whose stuck with me through thick and thin. Thanks for the great time as always DeWitts!
