Fall is my favorite. But when I get to photograph happy families during fall, that’s my ultimate favorite!
We really couldn't have asked for a better day to photograph Tom and Carol’s family for their 40th anniversary. For the special occasion we gathered together their two daughters Marika and Kara and their husbands and all four of their grandkids at the Hoyt Park bridge on this beautiful crisp fall day. I have actually photographed Marika and Kara’s family before on separate occasions, but it has been about a year since. I am glad they kept me in mind to capture them again! They are such a fun time!
Whenever I gather families together for a photo, it can sometimes be a bit of a challenge to make sure everyone is looking at the camera and smiling. Not with this awesome family! Look at all those smiles. SO easy!
Here, we have all the grandkids. From right to left we have Kyle, Leah, James and Ethan. I had an absolute blast snapping this shot of them all walking hand in hand.
James is the littlest guy and he’s such a smiley ham! Then there is Leah who is 5 going on 25. Kyle is next, and he is quite the active little man. Ethan is the oldest of the kids and is definitely a great leader.
These kiddos sure grew up a ton in one year. That’s probably one of my absolute favorite parts of this job, I get to watch the kids I photograph grow up right before my eyes.
Look at what 40 years of marriage can give you: two awesome daughters and son-in-laws, four gorgeous grandchildren and one happy family! Happy anniversary, Tom and Carol!
