Everyone, please meet lovely Erin and her adorable baby bump! She is due in March, so we thought we’d take advantage of this unusually mild winter and take a relaxed photo walk in Grant Park. I couldn’t have asked for better company or subject to photograph that day...Plus she was a major trooper going up and down all those stairs. Thanks again Erin! We can’t wait to meet your bundle soon!
Huge congratulations and thank you to Tracey and Don. Your wedding was nothing short of amazing, and it was a great way to ring in the new year together. Your home was stunning, the love of your family and friends filled the room and the beautiful streets to Milwaukee's Old World 3rd Street played the perfect backdrop over and over again. Thanks again!
I crave photographing certain things much like I crave a chocolate cupcake at 11:30pm (I am sure I am not the only photographer who does!). This summer my craving was a maternity session. Luckily, Andrew’s wife knew just the person to curb my craving for a golden hour baby bump session! This is Katie Hammer. She is expecting her second baby boy this fall, and I couldn't have asked for a better model!
First a little fun at the beach at Bay View Park. Once I started taking my first couple of shots I realized that this was going to be a fun shoot. One of my main goals when I photograph is to try my best to capture genuine smiles and laughs, and Katie definitely didn't have shortage of these. She is a natural in front of the camera!
We ventured up to the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi where they have a lovely arbored walkway surrounded by grapevines. This is one of my absolute favorite places to shoot. I was happy to capture some of those amazing smiles that Katie so naturally gives but also grabbed some quiet and reflective moments. So beautiful.
From there we decided to end the session on the Nojoshing trail, just about a quarter mile south from Bay View Park and the convent. This trail offers so much to photograph, but, since the sun was setting ,I opted for some grassy fields. Oh that light… <3
Thank you Katie for being such a great sport. We can't wait to meet your baby boy!
