With a beautiful ceremony at the historic St. Mary's Church, a walk around Port Washington's scenic harbor, a party bus filled with music and laughter, a golf cart tour across The River Club of Mequon, late night sparklers and wishing lanterns, you could say that Hannah and Kieran's wedding day complete. Complete with family, friends and their daughter Cali totally stealing the show on the dance floor.
Milwaukee is filled with fantastically fun people and places. Ellie and Molly wanted a little something different for their engagement session. Having lived all over the USA and we decided to go with something that said Milwaukee, and what is more Milwaukee that a brewery :) Huge shout out to Lakefront Brewery for the tour and tasty beers, seriously wonderful hosts with passion for what they do.
One great thing about engagement sessions is that not only are they a perfect practice in front of a camera for the couple, but as a photographer it is a great time to really get to know the personality and get a sense of the subtle things that make each couple unique. Little things like how Ellie was eyes on Molly the entire session, and Molly's laugh and smile was constant as we wandered the brewery. Their bright creative energy and fun personalities are sure to ring true for their wedding day next November... Can't wait! :)
What I love most about working with small businesses and solo entrepreneurs is the unique diversity within any market space. Each business has its own story to tell and I take great joy in assisting to tell each one.
Take Zoe Lauryn. She is a talented personal trainer in the Milwaukee area. Together we sculpted a unique to her editorial portrait session for her new website, a series of blog posts, and social media marketing efforts. While she is a locally available personal trainer for in person training, she also works tirelessly to offer quality coaching in an online space as well. So, in addition to headshots, we wanted to create clean and clear photos that showcased a series of workouts and techniques along with a small image library for her own "stock photography" that she can pull from to draw attention to her Instagram and Facebook post to direct traffic to her website.
Below is a sample of a series of photo taken to show the transition and techniques for a number of simple exercises. These photos will be used for future blog posts on Zoe's site as well as for social media and digital banners.
